Hey Team -
This week is a bit of a doozy - on the one hand, Jupiter is moving into Taurus, heralding a new, year-long cycle of growth in a new part of our chart/life, following on the tail-end of Mercury’s retrograde through the same terrain. On the other, Mars is ramping up into an opposition with Pluto, which will perfect on Saturday - one of the more high-stress aspects of the year, which actually requires a good bit of skill and care, otherwise things could get explosive. I hope this forecast helps you in understanding and navigating everything that’s going on!
This week, I thought I’d also offer an image from the ‘Chandra Symbols’, which are a set of images that have been channeled for each degree of the Zodiac. The one I’ve selected relates to the degree at which Mercury has finished their retrograde, and I thought it was a useful central image for the week ahead: A pink diamond.
A favorite conduit of star wisdom of mine, Ellias Lonsdale, writes in a commentary on this image:
The heart feels everything. It burns with a fever. Inside the burning something marvelous is forming. Grace permits the realization of the heart's desires. You become a vessel to demonstrate, to share the beauty, the love, and the light. Yet all of this is implicit, is inherent, is inward. It is not seen by outer eyes. You are warming through slowly, contemplatively, those qualities of soul that are best entered upon free from reflection. The inner life is rich beyond measure with seeds which will be fertilized and are given forth in the fullness of time, with a consummate touch of having been through the fire to attain what is true and lasting.
Altogether, I think it’s a fitting image for the two, potentially contrasting themes of the week - both a great deal of opportunity and a great deal of stress. Diamonds need this stress to grow, and that might be a helpful image to keep in mind through the fires of this week.

Moon in Pisces: Friday, 11:38pm CST- Monday, 2:55am. A dreamy weekend - especially in light of the dark moon, a time for rest, recuperation, and reverie. Paying attention to the soul realm, to more subtle parts of reality. Giving space to imagine and dream. Slipping away from the everyday, or bringing extra consciousness to it.
Venus trine Saturn, 1:56am Saturday. Giving substance, longevity, and seriousness to romantic, social, and artistic pursuits. A serious spirit amdist connection, wanting to integrate deeper spiritual needs into our social life. This will be noticeable a few days before and after. It could feel a bit heavier than usually - it’s not necessarily a time for easy connection, but would definitely be satisfying to be in deep connection.
Saturday, 10-11am: Moon textiles Mercury, is conjunct Saturn, and trines Venus. A continuation of the themes from the previous night. Altogether, a great time for meaningful connection, a sense of spirit or magic working it’s way through loving attention and the space between people. If you need to get something done during these couple days, taking things slower, looking for ways for collaboration with trusted partners, and integrating something of a ritual-type feel into it could be great.
Sunday, 8:21am - Moon sextile Uranus: an electric, exciting feeling this morning. A time to gently shake things up, opening up to spontaneity, looking for possibility, playing with the unknown. Could bring an element of the unexpected into play, could feel a little unsettling. Spaciousness still required.
Sunday, 4:16pm - Moon sextile Sun: A Sun’s Day for solar activities — entering into creativity, maintaining your areas of responsibility, keeping things healthy, bright, and clear. Enjoying simple pleasures, contentment, and basic warmth.
Sunday 9:30 and 10pm: Moon trines Mars, enters a conjunction with Neptune, and Mercury goes direct. Altogether a very interesting moment. The potential for a realization to settle in, some idea to spark and catch fire. Some active evening reverie or ritual would be interesting and generative - entering into the dreamy part of life with engagement and reverence, stirring things up, but not getting things too hot.
Moon in Aries - Monday, 2:55am CST - Wednesday, 7:27am. A time for more vigorous movement and action. The potential for emotions, thoughts, and words to have a bit of extra bite and oomph behind them. Good for initiating things and pushing yourself, but could lead to conflict and impatience.
Mars trine Neptune: Monday, 8:44am CST. An easy (perhaps too easy) connection between our will, motivation, and desire and the dreamy parts of life. Could lead to a certain confusion around action, but can also lead to truly inspired action. Neptune can make things sleepy and misty, and exaggerate delusion or intoxication. A great aspect for spiritually tuned movement/exercise practices. Ramps up the week before and wanes the week after.
Moon square Venus: Monday, 6:41pm CST. An unsettled energy in the romantic life - Venus in Cancer leaning towards the cozy and domestic, Moon wanting space, independence, freedom, spontaneity. Resolution through passionate but safe romance, contained expressions of fire and desire.
Jupiter enters Taurus: 12:19pm Tuesday. Kicking off a year of expansion into the material, sensual realm. Wisdom opening up through the body, through the sensual, through the natural world. Exploring realms of taste, flavor, texture. Seeking stability, deep nourishment. Perhaps exaggerating materialism.
Moon square Mars: 4:09am Wednesday. With the Moon in Aries, could potentially spur/trigger some vulnerable spots. In general, a rush of energy/fire. With Mars in Cancer, this continues the theme of boundaries, self-protection and assertion. Could make sleep difficult. The moon does go VoC afterwards, till 7:30 or so. The Moon will square Pluto right away, when she enters Taurus, so that could make for a continuation of an intense day/morning.
Moon in Taurus: Wednesday, 7:27am - Friday, 1:27pm CST. A period for ease, nourishment, and enjoying sensual life. Typically a smoother time emotionally and relationally. Can tend towards sleepiness, laxity, or over-indulgence, but perhaps these are necessary at moments.
The Moon immediately conjoins Jupiter at the first degree of Taurus, which can give us a first impression of what this year ahead could look like for us. You might pay attention to where Taurus lands in your chart, or if there’s anything important happening at the start of fixed signs - these areas will expand and grow, perhaps in a lucky and blessed way, and perhaps in an unwieldy manner. A heads up - sometimes, in order for Jupiter’s gifts to take up space, something else needs to be cut back or excavated. With Mercury just ending their retrograde in early Taurus, you’ve likely been reworking this realm of your life for the last month or so.
Jupiter and Pluto are in a square with each other at this moment, with Pluto at the first degree of Aquarius. Here, we might feel the friction between our desire for more abundance, ease, and pleasure and the bigger technological and cultural shifts that are outside of our control. Likewise, Pluto’s influence alongside Jupiter can sometimes require us to consult our fears and worries and to recognize that growth often necessitates uncomfortable change. At least at the start of this cycle, Jupiter’s ingress into Taurus is not an indicator of absolute ease and luck, but an offer for growth that comes alongside sacrifice or maturation.
Wednesday evening, at 6:26pm, the Moon will meet Mercury, who is now moving direct, albeit still very slow. Around the same time, the Moon will sextile Saturn - Mercury and Saturn are in a sextile. all in all, this is a mentally serious moment, in which deep thought could come easily. This sextile will have been around for a while at this point, and so this is likely to be a moment of returning to heavy thoughts for the third or fourth time, in which forward progress is more likely, even if the next steps are demanding. Aside from having a deep conversation or journaling, this could be a great night for study, meditation, or work on a long-term project.
Thursday, 3:49am: Sun sextile Neptune. This aspect illuminates the enchanting part of our material and sensual experience. This is a week where time in nature, with the body, or in mindful appreciation of food or music could be especially spiritually rewarding. Neptune can enchant, but also dull, especially in aspect with Taurus energy, so you might do your best to keep a counterweight of alertness or lucidity. In respect to the other Taurus-Pisces aspect going on, this is also a time in which you might literally converse with nature, or find some sort of authoritative support through the mysteries of the more than human world.
Thursday, 6:28pm: Moon conjunct Uranus. An electric evening, in which surprises, shocks, or revelations could be in the air. This can lend itself to anxiety or unrest - it would likely be great to do something to cycle energy through or to discharge in some way. Uranus can really appreciate trying something new, undertaking an experiment of some sort, or just opening up to spontaneity.
Friday, 8:38am: Moon sextile Neptune. A dreamy morning. Could be helpful to take things in a slow and spacious manner, to allow enter work gently and restfully or not at all. It would also be a great time for spiritual practice, an easy walk, or luxurious breakfast. Alongside a New Moon later in the day, it might be a great time for a reset or to not rush yourself along.
The New Moon is at 10:53am. In late Taurus, and alongside Jupiter’s ingress into Taurus, it emphasizes an integration of the wisdom we’ve been gathering from our sensual experience and from the natural world. More than just being a place of respite, it speaks of respecting our roots and more than human relationships as part of our intrinsic nature. At 12:50pm, the Moon will sextile Mars, pointing to a brief burst of energy and physical enthusiasm, especially if we are rested from the morning. The Moon will go Void of Course for about an afterward.
Moon in Gemini: Friday, 1:47pm CST - Sunday, 10:28pm. A mentally active, curious, and chatty period. A time to follow liveliness, to develop skillfulness and adaptability, to learn and take in the world around us. Potentially a period of fickle emotions, of swiftly changing moods and scenery, although Mercury’s presence in Taurus does slow this down a bit. A great time to move forward with any conclusions or inspirations developed from the previous week, in lots of small steps.
The Moon will trine Pluto pretty much immediately. From Gemini, it might be easier to converse or take interest in these Plutonian energies of fear, intensity, or shadow. ‘Inviting your Demons to Tea.’ At this moment, Mars is already in a pretty strong opposition with Pluto, so this energy could feel particularly tense or volatile - more on that in just a minute.
The Moon squares Saturn around 2am, CST, which is an indicator of a somewhat heavy evening, perhaps throwing a damper on some of the Moon in Gemini’s bubbly, excitable energy. Maybe not the best evening for entirely lighthearted energy - things could feel deluded or tend towards heavy escapism easily. Maybe better to allow some space for stillness and reverence. A good integration of this Gemini and Saturn in Pisces energy might look like watching something fun but fortifying, reading something profound but not too too challenging.
Mars enters Leo just before 11am, CST, where he’ll be till July 10th. As contrasted with Mars in Cancer, this is a bit more direct and straightforwardly strong place for Mars. Mars in Cancer takes his strength from love and fierce care, and might feel moody or defensive otherwise. Here, Mars in Leo likes to be a champion for something, to feel brave and courageous, and to take delight in his strength. It might aggravate some egoistic, narcissistic, or theatrical tendencies (even giving a bit more bite to them). This emphasizes forms of movement and exercise that are fun, lively, and colorful, and finding ways to integrate play into your effortful moments.
Immediately, Mars will enter an opposition with Pluto - the aforementioned aspect that can intensify fears or ramp up an experience of tension. Mars and Pluto are two of the more irrational and violent energies in the sky, and their moments together are seldom fun. The best way to put them to use is to emphasize cleansing, purging, or cathartic work, like a deep clean, or putting in effort to finally lift some weight off your shoulders. It might be a good time to check especially irrational or reactive emotions and to watch out for pushing so hard on something that you exhaust or injure yourself. This aspect will ramp up the week or so before and ramp down the week or so afterward, but will be particularly strong this Saturday. If you do have a project that needs a few hours of gusto, you might carve it out today. If you’re in a volatile situation, it would be wise to steer clear of something exploding or getting violent this weekend.
The Sun enters Gemini on Sunday the 21st, around 2am CST. This lifts us a bit out of the grounded Taurus energy and more up into the light, breezy energy of summer, although Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, will still be in Taurus until June 11th. This would be a great month for short trips, for forays into exciting and interesting realms, for conversations with curious folks, to ask yourself novel questions, and to delight in a wide range of tastes, forms of movement, and experiences. Just like the Moon’s quick aspect with Pluto on Friday, the Sun will immediately enter a trine with Pluto late Sunday morning. As a part of a long series of Pluto aspects, this could actually act as an illuminating force, insofar as further recognition or clarity might be needed. The Sun can act as a warming, brightening influence, here especially taking place within our minds (Gemini). The Sun can also act as a burning or blinding influence, so you might guard against getting too puritanical in combating something that feels dangerous or poisonous.
The Moon will have a square with Neptune from 5:11pm, CST, after which she will go Void of Course. This will be a great evening to try to rest and zone out. With the Moon in Gemini, that might look like time on the interwebs, or enjoying a favorite show or bit of reading. The square with Neptune in this context may feel blustery or confusing emotionally, in contrast to the intense clarity of thought that might be present with the Sun’s trine to Pluto. Rest is likely the best solution to let things coalesce!
