Hey Folks <3
Another exciting week, as we ramp up into our Full Moon on Saturday! This 2nd-quarter moon is great for ramping up into work, to be engaged and push your limits as to what’s possible. Especially with Mercury gaining speed, you might find that things that took a while to get moving over the last 6 weeks or so are now really clicking into gear. Mercury is going to be in a conjunction with Uranus, though, so it could be great to have a grounding counterbalance to channel and circulate electric energy.
Aside from that, we have a pretty interesting set of aspects with Venus ramping up this weekend - first a dreamy trine to Neptune, and then an opposition to Pluto next Monday - altogether, deep, rich, and intense. It happens alongside an interesting placement for the Full Moon: SAGITTARIUS 14, the Chandra Symbol for which is: a terrarium filled with carnivorous plants. Thus, we might be captivated by something dangerous, or encounter aspects of beauty and desire that require some discernment.
Deposited in the jungle, the pit, the open sewer; exposed mercilessly to the worst chaos, multiplicity, and darkness the world has to offer. Toughened, seasoned, tempered under duress. Forced to get it. Magnetizing the collective crises and subcurrents can give you a crash course in what has happened to the world and what must be done about it. You feel especially keenly pulled to participate in situations where anything goes and you must live by your wits or else. This is the fast, hard way to get a refresher course in the tortures and the plagues, in order to come up with solutions and alternatives of the most avid, incisive, and irresistible kind. (Ellias Lonsdale’s riff on this Chandra Symbol).
I hope this forecast helps you prepare! Again, I’m running these as a sort of trial, to see if they may be sustainable for me. I’m definitely appreciating the process, but so far, I’m far from my goal of what would make this financially rewarding, despite getting really resounding, regular reading responses from y’all. Moon in Virgo: Friday 10:04pm - Monday, 9:50am CST.
A time of focusing on basics - keeping things clean, orderly, and well functioning. A good time to be diagnosing and discerning, figuring out what’s awry and what you can do to remedy something. A good time to rely on practices, routines, and rhythms. All in all, a weekend oriented towards the everyday and mundane, although hopefully with a good deal of levity and grace. During this time period we’ll have our First Quarter Moon, and the square between the Sun and Saturn will perfect - altogether a challenging weekend, but mostly oriented on crafting the everyday.
Sun square Saturn: Sunday, 5:45am.
A time period to give yourself more shape and form. Focusing on details, defining your thoughts, ideals, aims, and figuring out how you can live them out. Could bring some seriousness, pressure, or even depression present, but it could also stir up some of your spiritual questions, bringing new perspectives or even turning things around a bit.
Moon trine Uranus: Sunday, 2:11pm: A moment where spontaneity and excitement will likely flow with ease. Could be a great afternoon for a small trip, some time in nature, or simply exploring more majesty in your everyday. Try something new!
Moon sextile Venus: Sunday, 7:19pm: A sensual aspect, emphasizing the integration of pleasure, creativity, and connection into your everyday. A time for a favorite record, dish, or social constellation.
Moon opposite Neptune: Monday, 4:45am. Moon then goes Void of Course till 9:50am. Another one of these super dreamy mornings, in which sleeping in or having an easy-going morning might be the best option.
Moon in Libra: Monday, 9:50am - Wednesday, 6:44pm (CST).
A time period to develop into connection, looking for justice and creating harmony. Acute awareness of balance and proportion. Needing to have things be in their right place and well equilibrated. A good time for social energy, working with other people, and developing your aesthetic sense.
Moon trines Pluto right away, which can cast a veil of intensity over this. Especially in relation to our social lives, this can bring up fears or awareness of inequality or disharmony. These trines to Pluto usually represent a good time to work with these energies, though, depicting an easy flow in bringing them to the surface or in peeling back layers to speak about them.
Moon sextile Mars: 8:20pm Monday. An evening for strong activity, to engage with something in a very affirmative manner. A good time for dance, play, and collaboration. Could also bring up some of Mars in Leo’s difficulty with social dynamics or something of a clash of egos, but only in extreme cases.
Moon trine Sun: 2:38am Tuesday. Hopefully, by now, you’ve gained a bit of momentum in getting into your task for this lunation. Monday and Tuesday should give a little bit more ease in bringing your creative spirit into play, getting into flow with what wants to come through you. If you can sprint, sprint!
Moon square Venus: 9:53am Wednesday, then goes VoC till 6:44pm. A depiction of a stressful need to integrate Venus’ desire for more intimate connection and rich sensual experience. The Moon is probably glad to oblige, but still aware of bigger needs. This is a long Void of Course - it might make for a good day to keep things steady without being too too ambitious, or to work on something you’re already in the flow with, rather than needing to take really strong initiative for something.
Moon in Scorpio: Wednesday, 6:44pm CST - 12:03am Saturday.
A time of more intense emotions and need to emotionally process deep things. A good time to get positively obsessed and focused on something, to transform through love, to die to oneself. An enhancement of psychic and intuitive capacities, although not a guarantee that you can smoothly navigate what is exposed.
Moon opposite Jupiter - 1:03am Thursday. A challenge to change in order to grow/expand. A continuation of the Jupiter/Pluto square theme which has been present for a couple of weeks. Here, integrating a strong awareness of the past, your patterns, rhythms, and conditioning. How do you find a new, healthier relationship with all you’ve known, in order to grow into what is possible?
Moon square Mars - 7:11am. Moon trine Saturn - 7:29am. A quincunx between Mars and Saturn. A depiction of a somewhat stressful day, especially with the Moon in Scorpio. Some frustration in taking initiative, but the potential to find real staying power once you find your groove. Likely a time to summon the strength to go slow, to gather your forces to focus. Mars and Saturn in a quincunx (inconjunct) here might need some mediation - it’s like one force trying to bulldoze over something, while another wants to really slow down and take a more subtle approach.
Moon opposite Mercury: Friday, 1:52am. An evening/morning for deep and slow thought. Somewhat of a back and forth here between the slow consideration of Mercury in Taurus, savoring ideas and slowly gestating ideas, and the incisive probing of the Moon in Scorpio, which can slice to conclusions. Create space for both to unfold! Time around water could be great.
Moon opposite Uranus: 7:09am Friday. A moment where things might feel like they’re being shaken up, a little outside of your control. Could be good to follow excitement, while staying a bit inside yourself/gathered. A time to probe and experiment with what’s possible, and to see yourself change in the process.
Venus trine Neptune: Friday, 5:42pm.
Quite a dreamy transit, which will be ramping up the week before and down the week after. Venus and Neptune tend to really get along, and magnify each other in the process. Venus gets a dose of ecstasy and enchantment, romance can become mythological or imaginatively rich, and Neptune’s desire for magic can become quite sensual. It can go bad by having things get sloppy and confusing, so watch out for too much of a good thing! The Moon actually trines each of these planets, a couple hours after their trine is exact, on Friday, which is Venus’ day, making this altogether quite dreamy! The Moon in Scorpio can make these a little bit more intense — it becomes a grand water trine — but could also be a force of.. maintaining connection to depths. Probably a Friday evening to do something special, with a loved one if possible!
Moon in Sagittarius: 12:03am Saturday - Monday 2:30am.
A weekend of seeking expansion, festivity, a rich tapestry of flavors and tastes. With Jupiter (the ruler of Sagittarius) newly in Taurus, this highlights sensual delights and the discovery of earthly wisdom. It could be a great time to take a trip out of your regular habitat, and to try to look at things from bigger, more novel perspectives. Sagittarius inherently has a tendency towards excess and largess — with the Full Moon here, you might guard against going too crazy and trying to experience everything all at once.
Moon square Saturn: 12:06pm Saturday. A moment of seriousness or focus, probably providing some restraint to the start of the weekend. Could also lead to some extra feeling of needing to give a lot of effort or even strain, an unhealthy pressure. Could be a great day for spiritual study/practice, or dropping in reverentially for a deep talk alongside some adventures spirit.
Moon trine Mars: 1:59pm Saturday. Especially in the afternoon, more of an active, vigorous energy at play. A great time for games, movement, embodied fun. Especially in contrast to a tightness earlier in the day, this could go towards an unhealthy blow-off of steam, so you might just proportion it.
Full Moon: 13 degrees Sagittarius: 10:41pm Saturday. Could depict a difficulty getting to sleep through the weekend - might be good to plan some way to experience time differently. Refer to the earlier Chandra Symbol - “a terrarium filled with carnivorous plants” - thus, probably won’t be a super easy, simple full moon of unabashed affirmation of life, but entail also an encounter with the difficult or dangerous multiplicity of life.
Mercury conjunct Uranus: Sunday, 2:49pm. An energy ramping up the week before — a general excitement of mind, encountering electric, disruptive, and radical ideas. The culmination of an aspect that was teased just before Mercury went retrograde on April 21 - similar themes may come back around. Uranus is especially interested in breakthroughs with regard to our resources and sensual experience - with Jupiter’s copresence this year, there will probably be big swings and breakthroughs. Mercury is still in Taurus, so letting ideas simmer and gestate would likely be very helpful. You might guard against things that might overwhelm you or make you feel overly anxious. Time to discharge and circulate energy might be necessary, as would just.. generally avoiding situations where accidents might happen. Mercury is also picking
Moon square Neptune: 10:23pm, Sunday. Voc → 2:30am Monday. Sunday evening might best be a time for rest and spaciousness, even if that might be a bit challenging. Probably a good time to stray away from things that might blur your consciousness and take the extra effort to really slow down and rest.
Finally - on Monday, Venus will move into Leo and immediately oppose Pluto - a decently big shift that will be ramping up this week (and especially weekend). Venus in Leo can be especially warm, bright, and fun, but this light will likely illuminate or have to confront some shadows in Pluto. This can bring up fears around romance, beauty, social situations and creativity - but also some healthy changes and phase shifts. It’s worth emphasizing that Venus is going retrograde in Leo later this summer, so this is perhaps just a first, good look at some of the deep shifts in our Venusian spheres that this will entail.
And finally, this week’s verse from the Calendar of the Soul (visual made by my pal Ashton Arnoldy, aka, Also Known As - sorry the gif embed didn’t click!)
