Hey Team - here’s round two of my weekly astrology forecast! In case you didn’t catch last week’s message, I’m going to be doing these for the next two months or so, hoping to catch stride in such a way that they’re economically sustainable for me. I’m hoping to get 17 more subscribers to support this project with a paid subscription - otherwise, I’ll be taking this to a paid-only project and reassessing from there. Thank you for your support!
Anyway - this is a big week! With the Lunar Eclipse (an extra-intense Full Moon) on Friday, and Mercury’s Cazimi on Monday, it will likely need a bit of poise and wherewithal to navigate, but it could be extra rich and magical if that is done so. The Scorpio energy can be piercing - cutting through veils and veneers, but also perhaps cracking through something appropriately protective or releasing poison in the process. Thus, wakefulness is the name of the game.
The images this week were inspired by some MidJourney prompts created by my partner, Em, and given a bit of extra direction by me. I’m hoping to continue to make art, digital and otherwise, to accompany and accentuate these forecasts.
Moon in Virgo: Saturday 1:58 pm CST till Tuesday, 1:08am. A time to organize, to operate smoothly, to keep things functioning well, working on small, detailed tasks, assessing what’s going well and what’s not, focusing on your routines, assisting others and in the general flow of things.
Sunday, 12:41 am, Moon opposite Saturn - (therefore able to be felt Saturday PM). A serious, potentially heavy mood. A time to bring your commitments and ideals into smaller steps and practices. Saturn in Pisces - a sort of spiritual seriousness - could be a great evening for reverence, reverie, conscience-consulting…
Sunday, 10 am - Moon trine Sun. 2 pm - Moon trine Mercury. Each of these a fairly easier, lighter aspect. Likely to be energy present for simplicity and softness. Cleaning up, working on small projects, getting out and about and moving, running errands, having small conversations, writing.. Especially a softer morning - but with Mercury Rx, there might be things that require attention grabbing you in the afternoon, more of a hustle and bustle or need for adaptation.
Monday early AM - Moon trines Uranus (2:38 am), sextile Mars (4 am) - could be a disruptive moment for sleep. Stirring dreams, hypnogogia. Could warrant tiring yourself out Sunday PM, or getting up and getting active early onMonday. Asking for direct guidance on specific questions during the night could also be great.
Pluto goes Retrograde - Monday 12 pm - a time to revisit things forgotten in the dark. Reworking themes of empowerment, power, examining trauma, processes happening in the deep. A particularly potent moment, worth noting what arises, but it spans out until October 11th. Could cast a curious intensity over the day or week, as everyone is feeling into the shadow knocking at their door.
Pretty much at the same moment, 12 pm - Moon squares Venus - a challenge to integrate joy, liveliness, Venusian pleasure and connection into the Virgoan life. How do you brighten and enliven your everyday, without losing your grip on what matters? Could also bring conflicts in relationships, stress over how things are functioning.
Monday PM, 6:30 pm - Mercury Cazimi (exactly conjunct the Sun) - the midpoint of the Rx. An important day to get a message - probably not the best time to say anything strong to anyone else, but perhaps to listen to the cosmos. At that moment, the Moon will also form an opposition with Neptune and go VoC - the whole evening could be a time for reverie and listening.
Moon in Libra: Tuesday, 1:08 am - Thursday, 9:32 am. Time to regain/maintain equilibrium, to be in relationship, to flow into the aspects of creativity and artistic living that have to do with finding balance, proportion, and harmony, even while playing with opposites. Developing equanimity, feeling into polarities and extremes.
Tuesday 2 am - right after the Moon enters Libra, she’ll trine Pluto - could cast an intensity over the night before and morning after. Trines to Pluto are easier than squares or oppositions, so here, Pluto’s message or offer might be clearer or easier to accept - something from the shadows that’s inviting, helpful, empowering..
There are no substantially notable aspects Tuesday during the day.
Wednesday, 4:10 pm: Moon squares Mars - a potentially volatile moment. Threads of discord or strife could come back around. The Moon in Libra might help smooth or settle things out, but Mars still might feel oddly frustrated. Would probably be a good afternoon for things like movement, artistic practice, or making an apology or offering reconciliation, as long as you’re not opening a can of worms.
Thursday, 2:54 am: Moon trine Venus - actually a harmonious and lighter romantic, sensual, and relational energy, which would be softly noticeable in the evening before and morning after.
Thursday, 4:16 am: Moon opposing Jupiter - another morning that getting up early and getting a smidge of work done or inspiration through could be helpful. Afterwards, the Moon will go Void of Course until 9:32 am.
Again, Void of Course Moons are the time periods after the Moon has made her last aspect in a sign and before she enters another. It’s typically a pretty chill time, a moment to rest and restore, and especially not a time to expect extraordinary effort from yourself or to start something new.
Moon in Scorpio: Thursday 9:32 am till Saturday, 3:03 pm. The 3 days of the Full Moon, during which there will be an eclipse. The Sun in Taurus reflected by the Moon in Scorpio: beauty being reflected through gnarls, the grotesque, the ruggedness of beauty. Likewise, seeing the shadows of beauty, piercing through glamour or veneers. A time in which intensity will likely really manifest. Poisons could arise to the surface. Might be intense relationally - an atmosphere of fear or suspicion. A good time for spiritual practices, emotional searching, developing and directing a healthy intensity, obsession, or strong focus.
Thursday, 12:39 pm: Venus square Neptune - a dreamy, perhaps confusing veil being cast over romance, sensuality, and creativity this whole week. Could take extra work to come to clarity, but there may also be a good deal of extra inspiration around. Might be a good week to be careful in engaging with mind-altering substances, which could get slippery.
Thursday, 7:53 pm: Moon trine Saturn - a good time to put work in on projects that need effort or oomph. With Saturn in Pisces, that might look like a spiritual undertaking of some sort - deepening into reverence, consulting conscience, feeling into and following heaviness, hopefully without getting really dragged down.
Thursday, 11:02 pm: Venus sextile Jupiter - a time in which romance, connection, and creativity could be saturated with an air of enthusiasm, hope, and an extra spark. A bit of a contrast to Venus’ square with Neptune - a bright side, but one which may require wakefulness.
Friday, 12:33 pm: Lunar Eclipse - a peak moment of energy, emotions, and sensations. This Scorpio energy can be extra intense - you might stay out of harm’s way and be extra caring/careful to/with yourself.
Friday, 7:13 pm: Moon opposite Uranus - an energy that could feel like jarring, unexpected potentials present. An electric vibe in the air, feeling of excitement, maybe mixed with fear. Perhaps a night for safe experiments, with an extra dose of caution.
Saturday, 12:50 am: Moon trine Mars - a bit of extra oomph/energy late Friday night, which could ramp up the intensity on things. Perhaps a reason to lay low, or to be directing heat into contexts that feel not too flammable, that could appreciate some healthy fire. Could be a difficult night for rest, if you find yourself easily disturbed.
Saturday, 9:37 am: Moon trine Neptune - casts a bit of a dreamy veil over the morning. Could be a good time to sleep in, or wake up and enjoy a favorite show or book, or to be meditating, enjoying spaciousness. Accessing the spiritual will likely feel especially easy at this moment, but if your consciousness is blurred, things could actually feel a bit nightmarish.
Moon VoC 9:37 am - 3:03 pm: time for a chill Saturday!
Moon in Sagittarius: Saturday 3:03 pm → Monday 6:30 pm - a time for adventure, festivity, fun. Appreciating story, myth, cultural diversity. Finding strong enthusiasm.
Saturday, 3:41 pm: Moon sextile Pluto - an easier availability of connecting to depth. Could feel like echoes or a continuation of some of the Scorpio eclipse themes, but with a bit more freedom in relating to it. An intense vibe around, but not imposing, able to be entered into with more choice and ease.
Sunday, 1:11 am: Moon square Saturn - a feeling of seriousness present, a bit of a constriction or the necessity of limitation around the big fires of Sagittarius. Probably not the best night to push boundaries, and to integrate some spiritual devotion into your weekend quests.
Sunday, 9:24 am: Venus enters Cancer - a sweeter, cozier form of romance. Desire to connect to home and family vibes. A nurturing, soft form of relating. Creativity and generativity arising in order to support nesting, to support emotionality. Venus stays in Cancer till June 5th.
